About me…

My wife and I live in Wilmington, N.C.

I consider myself to be a Multipotentialite. A multipotentialite is someone with many interests and creative pursuits who displays aptitudes across multiple disciplines. For example: I am an artist, play the ukulele, ride bikes with no hands, stand up paddleboard and much more. You can learn about some of my many varied interests and skills by visiting this page.

I was Media Coordinator at Laney High School  for 10 years. I retired from N.C. Public Schools effective July 1st, 2023. 

Prior to that I was the Media Coordinator at Independence High School in Charlotte, N.C. for eight years.

In addition, I taught computers in a high poverty elementary school in Charleston for 3 years and was Media Coordinator in a very diverse elementary school in Charlotte for a year.

In each position I supported the total school program including academic departments, fine arts, athletics, HOSA, FFA, etc. in anyway that I can.

I am certified to be a Media Coordinator, to teach ESOL/ESL or to teach music.

I have three great grown kids and a wonderful wife. My wife is a NICU nurse practitioner and teaches pediatric nursing at a university. One son works for an investment company in Raleigh, one son is a nurse and an administrator in a Charlotte hospital.  Our daughter is a  ABA Psychology and works with early childhood learning in Wilmington. She has also worked with child behavior and with childrens with Autism.

My parents and my sister were all educators. My father was a school superintendent, my mother taught kindergarten and my sister was a media coordinator.
